Filming Mistake

It was a hot and humid day and mother nature decided that it was a good time to rain. So Hoyt & I totally got caught in the rain carrying all of our recording gear. By the time we got there it was nearing dark. So unfortunately, none of the film footage we shot was really usable. Nor did it fit into our artistic direction for our upcoming music video. We wanted to share with you some still frame footage that ended up on the cutting room floor. Don't get me wrong, we had a blast and still managed to keep a positive outlook! All in all, it was a fun two hour hike and it actually felt so wonderful to be walking in the pouring rain! ~ Love & Laughs, Carly

Words & Music by Carly Emerick & Hoyt Emerick

Verse 1:
I don't know how I'm gonna live without you
You know how much I care about you
You fell apart like a broken toy
But the thought that you're gone forever leaves me destroyed

Lead In 1:
My hands shake, my heart breaks but still I try (still I try)
to let you go into the light
I feel weak and helpless, choked up inside (choked up inside)
I don't know how to say goodbye

Chorus:
I don't know how to say goodbye (don't know goodbye)
I don't know how to say goodbye
Don't know how to say goodbye

Verse 2:
I don't know why I feel so damn numb
when I could cry a river and then some
Our time together was a precious gift
But I never could imagine it would end like this

Lead In 2:
My hands shake, my heart breaks but still I try (still I try)
To let you go in the fading light
I feel weak and helpless, choked up inside (choked up inside)
I don't know how to say goodbye

(Repeat Chorus)

Bridge:
I will miss you always in my dark despair
Yet I know you're no longer there
The hands of time are spinning to you everyday
And every moment gets taken away, gets taken away

(Repeat Chorus)
