Falling From Infatuation (Artwork)

Candy Apple Blue - Falling From Infatuation (taken from "Night Tracks")

"Falling From Infatuation" is a R&B flavored synthpop song. Hoyt and I always loved the 1985 Diana Ross album, Eaten Alive (Mostly written & produced The Bee Gees). We wanted to write something with a similar vibe as Eaten Alive, Chain Reaction, and Crime Of Passion. Something sassy, confident and catchy. So we composed the song, "Falling From Infatuation" in the spirit of that album. ~ Carly Emerick

Verse 1:
I overdosed on a Saturday night
In the rear view mirror there’s flashing lights
I ditched the cop and I ran from the car
Got to the concert and I hit bar!

Lead In:
Hold on hold on, cuz the beat has got it
That slide guitar just drives me wild
Hold on hold on, cuz I feel one coming
Turn it up cuz I like it loud

Chorus:
Rock & Roll Heart Attack
Don’t try to save me cuz I ain’t coming back
You know want it, it’s a matter of fact
Rock & Roll Heart Attack
Rock & Roll Heart Attack

Verse 2:
The ink is drying on my “Crue” tattoo
Those leather pants are looking good on you
We’re making out in the bathroom stall
Security cameras caught it all

Lead In 2:
Hold on hold on, cuz the beat has got it
Exploding pyrotechnics too
Hold on hold on, cuz I feel one coming!
My heart is pounding like a drum for you

Chorus 2:
Rock & Roll Heart Attack
Don’t try to save me cuz I ain’t coming back
You know want it, it’s a matter of fact
Rock & Roll Heart Attack

Rock & Roll Heart Attack
Too much Coke and too much Jack
You know you love it, it’s a matter of fact
Rock & Roll Heart Attack
Rock & Roll Heart Attack

Bridge Rap:
I’ve got a fresh pack of cigarettes I’m dancing on the floor
Living in this moment like I never lived before
And everyone surrounds me as I do the bump and grind
Hot boys and hot girls going out of their minds

Rock, Rock, Rock, Rock, Rock & Roll Heart Attack! ( x4)

Chorus 3:
Rock & Roll Heart Attack
Nothing can save you cuz you ain’t coming back
You know want it, it’s a matter of fact
Rock & Roll Heart Attack

Rock & Roll Heart Attack
Too much Coke and too much Jack
You know you love it, it’s a matter of fact
Rock & Roll Heart Attack
