Verse One:

The only three words that you never said were the ones I ached to hear

But now I could care less about you, dear

It's sad to think how much of my time was wasted on you

I find it downright laughable that I loved you

Lead In:

But you used me from the start

Playing games with my sacred heart

And I'm where I should be now

Well, darling, I got by somehow

Chorus:

You were a mistake (mistake) I had to learn from

A mistake (mistake), a mistake I had to make

I deserve someone better than you

Verse Two:

I always used to see your face in the crowd

and think of how you let me down

I let myself play victim, I was your clown

You always used to keep me waiting

You had me dangling by a string

All alone on Friday night waiting for the phone to ring

(Repeat Lead In)

(Repeat Chorus)

(Repeat Lead In)

(Repeat Chorus)

End:

The only three words that you never said were the ones I ached to hear

But now I couldn't care less about you, dear

Verse One:
I've been taking it day by day, trying to get by
I've been trying to convince myself a lie

Lead In:
The door is right in front of me
But I wouldn't dare to leave!

Chorus:
So many times I said that I'd start all over again
I can't seem to break these chains
Don't know where to even begin!
I hold my head up high, just hopin' I'll get by

Post Chorus:
Start all over, over again  (x3)
Start all over again (x2)

Verse Two:
I've been making a fool of myself, not letting you go
There's circumstantial evidence, but I pretend that I don't know

Lead In 2:
The door is right in front of me
I've been prisoned by destiny

(Repeat Chorus & Post Chorus)

Lead In 3;
The door is right in front of me
I'm my own worst enemy!

(Repeat Chorus & Post Chorus)

Candy Apple Blue - Start All Over Again (7" Italo-Disco Mix)

Busier than ever!

UPDATE: Although it may seem like we've slowed down a bit, that couldn't be further from the truth.

We've been busier than ever, actually. Carly's been moonlighting on Candy Apple Blue songwriting with a wonderful producer from France, shopping songs for outside artists.

Hoyt's been busy organizing our upcoming collaboration with Nick Bramlett. And in the meantime, we've been penning new tracks for our album 'The Fall of Frenzy'.

Along with working on a collab with rock band TV Movie. Life comes at you fast. We promise to have something new for you to listen to soon!

Verse One:
I hear you've been talkin' so much about me
But you've got nothing good to say
I've heard you wanna live without me
And you're ready to throw our love away

Lead In:
Well, I've read this book before
And quite frankly it's a bore
Why should I wait around and be blue?

Chorus:
Give me some bad news (bad news)
Tell me you're gonna break my heart
'Cuz it would really make me happy if we broke apart

Yeah, give me some bad news (bad news)
Come on, give it your best shot
If you break up with me, baby, it would mean a lot
Yeah, give me some bad, bad, bad news, bad news

Verse Two:
I can't believe you think I'd be crying
Baby, we're better off this way
There's really no point in you and me denying
We'd be better off calling it quits today

(Repeat Lead In)
(Repeat Chorus)

Bridge Rap:
Lick the blood from the blade
that you pulled from my heart
Smile on your face as we depart
Does it make you pleased to make me hurt?
Rubbin' my pretty face in the dirt
Go ahead and give it your best shot
Let's see what kind of ammo you got!
Let's not, not, not reminisce
Come on, let's do this!

(Repeat Chorus)

Chorus:
Can you help me make it through the night?
Can you help me make it through the night?
Can you help me make it through the night?

Verse One:
The day comes and goes so fast that it frightens me
and Father Time, he remains an unsolved mystery

 Lead In:
I sit here counting the minutes in my surreal reality
I fall asleep so lonely, then I awaken in a dream
At the top of my voice, I scream

Chorus:
Can you help me make it through the night?
Can you help me make it through the night?
Can you help me make it through the night?

Verse Two:
In the morning I wake up knowing you were never there
The dream felt real until you vanished into thin air

 Lead In 2:
You live in my imagination
But you have a will of your own
Imaginary lover, if the truth be known
I'm no good at bein' alone

 (Repeat Chorus)

(Synth Solo)

Rap:
From deep beneath the shadows
From the corners they do rise
Slipping in and out of the virtual
Bouncing off the satellites

Moving magic into mirrors
Reflections taking flight
Seeking refuge from this restless world
Under the moonlight

 (Repeat Chorus)

Ad-Lib: Can you help me through the night? (x3)

Verse One:
More and more it happens every day
I can feel you pull away
Somethings different, but I don't know what
A change is coming, I can feel it in my gut

Lead In:
And the wind carries broken heartache
I don't know how much more I can take

Chorus:
I don't want to be the one to say goodbye
(the one to say goodbye)
No, I don't want to be the one who makes you cry
(the one to say goodbye)
We both know it's over, nothing left to prove
Waiting for the other to make a move
No, I don't want to be the one to say goodbye
(the one to say goodbye)

Verse Two:
Inching closer, how can I pretend
that we're not moving toward the bitter end
Pushing forward through this silent space
Where love exists, but somehow's been misplaced

Lead In 2:
And the wind carries broken heartache
Baby, I hope it's not too late

(Repeat Chorus)

(Solo)

Lead In 3:
And the wind carries broken heartache
I don't know how much more I can fake

(Repeat Chorus)

Ad-Lib:
More and more it happens every day (it happens every day)
More and more it happens every day (we're just slippin' away)
The one to say goodbye, the one to say goodbye
