Candy Apple Blue has once again teamed up with Juno Dreams to bring you a classy and classic retro 80s styled synthwave remix of their new indie single, Dancing in the Shadows.
Stepping up to the mic this time is Pittsburgh's own Barry Brayleo whom Carly had met in a karaoke bar after attending a Cher concert earlier this year. "He was just a really nice guy who I could tell really enjoyed singing. Hoyt and I love writing songs so I thought that he'd be a good match for us." Carly (half of Candy Apple Blue) said.
For your Fall season listening pleasure, be sure to be the first in line to hear our forthcoming single, "Dancing in the Shadows (feat. Barry Brayleo)". Special haunted and dark synthwave remix by Juno Dreams.

Something tremendously awesome happened yesterday! We recorded a brand new song with Apollo Rogers! The track we recorded could very well be one of the best songs of our career, thus far. Apollo is a seriously gifted vocalist. We are so grateful and thrilled to feature him on our composition. More details to soon follow.
Out today is the brand-new Peter Wilson album titled Change of Heart.
Carly of Candy Apple Blue wrote the song "Just Can't Stop My Heart," which is featured on Peter's new album. The track was produced by Matt Pop.
"We are all super proud of it. We all pulled together and gave it our A-game. From Peter's strong and confident vocal performance to Matt Pop's ultra 80s dream music production. I've been sitting on this song for over 4 years. It's nice to see it finally grow wings." ~ Carly Emerick
Check it out and let us know your thoughts on it. By the way, you can hear Carly performing background vocals!
"We want to thank our friends and listeners for sending in and sharing with us their personal photos of their loved ones who have passed on. We made a simple and sweet homemade memorial video to celebrate their lives. This song is for you." ~ Sincerely, Hoyt & Carly

Whispers in the Wind is the new single taken from the forthcoming Candy Apple Blue album, Second Sight. The composition addresses drug addiction, regret, rumors, and self-realization. The lyric video pays homage to famous celebrities who died from a drug overdose. These talented people had a very real problem with substance abuse, which ultimately ended their lives too soon. Its melancholy message is a tragic cautionary tale delivered with a retro 1980s dance beat. Its musical roots are inspired by the early 80s new wave synth-pop bands of the era. The song features a smooth, cool, and haunting vocal performance by Norway's Espen Kraft.
Verse 1: I saw you dancing on the edge I tried to reach you as a friend You didn't want to hear it then I was eager to help, but you pushed me away once again.
Lead In: But where has your soul gone tonight? They want to know why you took your own life
Chorus: I hear whispers in the wind Your love has made a fool of me I gave in so easily Whispers in the wind Please tell me they're wrong The whispers in the wind
Verse 2: People are saying nasty things Pointing their fingers, casting blame I tried to wake up from this dream But the heartache is real, and I'm coming apart at the seams
Lead In 2: And I'm waiting for an epiphany tonight You were a dying flower in need of sunlight
Chorus: I hear whispers in the wind (people are talking) Your love has made a fool of me Took all I had so selfishly Whispers in the wind Please tell me they're wrong The whispers in the wind
Lead In 3: I'm waiting for an epiphany tonight You were a dying flower
Chorus: I hear whispers in the wind (people are talking) Your love has made a fool of me
You lived your life so recklessly Whispers in the wind Please tell they're wrong (wrong) The whispers in the wind
Whispers in the wind (whispers in the wind) Your love has made a fool of me I gave in so easily Whispers in the wind Please tell me they're wrong The whispers in the wind
Ad-lib: Whispers in the wind, I hear whispers in the wind I hear whispers in the wind, in the wind
It Happens All the Time is the first single taken from the forthcoming Candy Apple Blue album, Second Sight. The song features a smooth, cool, and haunting lead vocal performance by Norway's Espen Kraft. Its musical roots are planted firmly in the mid-1980s. The song is a sophisticated slice of uptown, high-quality synth-pop inspired by the electronic/new wave bands of the era. The music video's focus is on an eccentric fortune-teller who uses his powers of prophecy to put Candy Apple Blue under his spell and to help them gain insight into their lives. He uses tarot cards, the Magic 8 Ball, Louisiana Voodoo (Vodou), and astrology to help the band solve their problems. The character role of the medium in touch with the spirit world is deliciously played by Antonio Licon.
