Words & Music By Carly Emerick & Hoyt Emerick

Verse One:
Oh, every time I think of you and I
I sparkle like a diamond that shimmers in the light
You're so good to me, how can this be real?
No, I don't need to overthink the feelings that I feel

Lead In:
(Feel) All the time when the thought of you's inhabiting my mind
(Fall) against my skin, and when you're finished, I want it again

Chorus:
You touch my heart (Oh how you touch it, baby)
You touch my heart (Touch my heart)
You touch my heart (I wanna be your only lady)
My heart, my heart (Ooo-ooo)
t-t-touch me, touch my heart
t-t-touch me, touch my heart

Verse Two:
The body is the garden of the soul
I'm pulled into a passion, I'm under your control
A circumstance that no one can deny
We're written in the book of love, no, we don't have to try

Lead In:
(Try) All the time, it seems like you can almost read my mind
(Kiss) me again, cause your love is a race I have to win

(Repeat Chorus)

Bridge:
I'm hot, touch it, touch my heart (x4)
Touch my heart like a fire starts; you burn inside of me
The flames of love are burning for us eternally
Touch my heart, ignite the sparks, come on turn me on
It's the rhythm of pure passion that we feast upon

(Repeat Chorus)

Words & Music by Carly Emerick & Hoyt Emerick

Verse One:
I'll see you around my town, my house, my car
I'll see you around in my head, my heart, my bed

I don't have to ask you, "Hey, what's new?"
I always know what you're up to
You're like a monkey always on my back
So kiss me, kiss me, kiss me!

Chorus:
It's a great big world no matter where you go
It could be destiny before you leave, I know
I'll see you around, I'll see you around

Verse Two:
I'll see you around while I'm out shopping, at work, at school
I'll see you around, we'll get the party hoppin', party hoppin', party hoppin'

I see you almost every day, but how we met I couldn't say
I see you on my telephone, I'll see you around, leave me alone!

(Repeat Chorus)

Bridge:
I'll see you around, I'll see you around
I'll see you around, I'll see you around

(Repeat Chorus)

Words & Music By Carly Emerick & Hoyt Emerick

Verse 1:
I'm lost, I'm lonely, have nowhere to go
Oh, since you left me, I've been dying real slow

Lead In:
I'm counting my tomorrows
I'm drowning in so much sorrow

Chorus:
No baby, it's not right
No baby, it's not right
No baby it's not right
No baby, it's not right

Verse 2:
I'm wild, I'm restless, living on shaky ground
Well, since you left me, I've been hard to be around

Lead In:
I'm frozen in isolation
Complete devastation

(Repeat Chorus)

Bridge:
I can't take no more
How many empty nights will I spend in misery
You made threats before
But I never thought that you'd really leave me

Lead In:
I'm losing my concentration
Frozen in isolation

(Repeat Chorus)

Ad-lib:
Baby, you can't hold me like a prisoner tonight
I watched you walk away from me and fade out of sight
It's not right, no it's not right

Howard Stump Reviews "Select Game."

It's always a special joy to be acknowledged for your work in this very competitive musical world that we find ourselves living in. As indie artists, not having the deep pockets of a major label behind us, we often find ourselves in a tight spot when it comes to promoting our music. It often feels like the weight of the world is on our shoulders. However, we've been staying steadfast and true to ourselves and to our art.

Just recently, we've been featured on the music blog 'Soundtrack To My Day' a few times, and it means so very much to us to have an outsider review our music and post about it.

We wanted to give a special shout-out to Howard Stump for taking note of our last few singles and shining a little light on them! We couldn't be more grateful.  ~ Sincerely, Hoyt & Carly

Candy Apple Blue has released a new video for a brand new song, "Select Game". The ElectroPop sound remains strong for Hoyt Emerick and sibling Carly, who are joined on this outing with a featured performance by Dave Greening. The song, featuring Carly on lead vocals, speaks to new love when you are still trying to figure out what the rules of the game are. The song was written by Hoyt Emerick, Carly Emerick, and Dave Greening. Enjoy the video for "Select Game".

If you dig that as much as I did, you can get your own free download of the song for the cost of a single Tweet or Facebook Update. Just click here, sign in to Twitter, and you will have a great new song in your collection. To learn more about Hoyt and Carly, visit their official website. You can also 'follow' them on Twitter, or 'like' them on Facebook! ~ Howard Stump

MTV Artist Directory

We wanted to announce that we are now listed in the MTV artist directory. Which means that we are somewhere on the map. Most likely we're on a far, far, far away island somewhere, but at the very least it's an acknowledgment.

We do, however, appreciate all the love and support we've been getting!
xoxoxoxo Carly & Hoyt

"Select Game"
©2012 MRIX MUZIK (ASCAP)
Words & Music By Carly Emerick, Hoyt Emerick & Dave Greening

Verse 1:
Are you gonna play me for a fool or are you gonna treat me like a queen?
Are you gonna break all the rules or are you gonna keep it all routine?

I've been on the outer skirts of town, baby there is nothing I ain't seen
Do you want to make me you touchdown
Or do you wanna jump right over me?

Chorus:
Select game, now tell me baby what's it gonna be
Select game, tell me baby how you're gonna play me

Verse 2:
Are you gonna use me for a night or is it a lifetime that you seek?
When you kiss and roll the dice are you sure you're on a winning streak?

I could be your trophy on the shelf and not admit to my defeat
Or you could be the one to back down, disengage your soldiers and retreat

(Repeat Chorus)

Ad lib: Select game, Select Game

(Repeat Chorus)

Soundtrack to My Day (New Romance Review)

We wanted to thank the folks over at Soundtrack To My Day for their wonderful write-up on our latest music video for New Romance. We appreciate the support!

Candy Apple Blue featured on Soundtrack To My Day

Once again, siblings Carly Emerick and Hoyt Emerick are hard at work, writing, producing, and making videos for a new song. In fact, "New Romance" has a great new music video, featuring the duo singing and dancing on the streets of Pittsburgh. They are both so darling in the video, but I have to admit I might have a teensy crush on Hoyt. Anyway, "New Romance" is sparkling Eletro-Pop delivered with charm and wit by the duo. Give "New Romance" a listen. ~ Howard Stump
